The Red Cross Tree

Mark named our tree this year
"The Red Cross Tree"
Below is the before picture.
Before all the year to year sentimental child made ornaments
were put on by the children. With the addition of their
ornaments it was much less "red cross" but I forgot to take a picture!
One tradition that we have is to make new ornaments for our tree each year.
This year Megan came up with the idea to make origami boxes and make them look
like gifts. We also make packing peanut garland!

They just don't get it, they like to decorate themselves
first to make sure it's just right for the tree.
Around and around she goes...

Here's a few close ups.

What a fun idea...but a lot of work. I have a hard time just trimming the tree! What fun memories for your girls.

What a fun tradition. Someone gave us the idea of using cheerios for garland, too. I mixed fruitloops and regular cheerios to make a very cheery garland. Love you guys!
