ICE SKATING!

Just to keep the cold of winter alive

my children and I have discovered ice skating

for the past few weeks.  And most of us love it.

Here is Lydia at the beginning, she loved the "idea" of Ice skating

but that was about it!  I held her most of the time while skating

and then sat out on the bleachers with her.

Megan, Camille, and our neighbor -who really knew how to skate and she was a wonderful, patient, effective teacher.  1st lesson: How to fall! 

We've been skating twice now and Megan really likes it.  She wants to go every week!  She learned lesson 1 well and is gaining more confidence.

Camille had a ice skating birthday party to attend, that's what started all our fun to begin with.  She feels just the same as Megan "Can we go every week?"

I left her home with Mark so I could skate too.  She's such a pale face!  Today at church I was talking with  a few friends and she came up and screamed or shouted or whatever it was - I think she just likes to use her big mouth- anyway that was it just one very loud, short noise and then she looked at us and laughed.
